Clinical and Electrodiagnostic Characteristics of Vasculitic Neuropathy

Abstract
Vasculitic neuropathy is a heterogenous group of peripheral nerve disorders characterized by acute or subacute onset, painful, sensorimotor axonal neuropathy. It results from infiltration of inflammatory cells around blood vessels and subsequent ischemic injury. It commonly occurs in systemic vasculitis, but appears as non-systemic or localized vasculitic neuropathy. The objective of this article is to provide the up-to-date summary of vasculitic neuropathy and a practical approach to diagnosis and treatment of vasculitic neuropathy.
