Neuralgic Amyotrophy Confused with Acute Cervical Radiculopathy - Two Cases Report - |
|
Abstract |
Neuralgic amyotrophy(NA) is a rare disorder of unknown etiology and characterized by attacks of neuropathic pain and subsequent paresis in the upper extremities. NA can mimic many other conditions that cause acute pain and weakness around the shoulder such as discogenic cervical spine disorders, rotator cuff tears, calcific tendinitis. We report two cases with NA, their symptoms were confused with acute cervical radiculopathy, but electrodiagnostic study showed findings of NA. |
