Two Cases of Acute Motor Axonal Neuropathy Showing RapidClinical Recovery
Abstract
Acute motor axonal neuropathy (AMAN) is a well known clinical entity of Guillain-Barre syndromecharacterized by preserved sensory nerve but reduced compound muscle action potential amplitude withoutdecreasing motor nerve conduction velocity and conduction block. AMAN has been known to showrelatively good prognosis but there has been little attention about clinically rapid improvement. We experiencedtwo cases of AMAN with rapid clinical improvement with full recovery of electrophysiologicfindings.
