Acute Ischemic Monomelic Neuropathy - A Report of Two cases - |
|
Abstract |
An acute peripheral arterial occlusion typically presents with sudden onset of severe pain, accompanied by variable motor and sensory disturbances, and signs of ischemia. In acutely ischemic nerves, the changes are dependent upon the duration of ischemia. Therefore, the early diagnosis and the timing of operation are critical. We recently experienced two cases of ischemic monomelic neuropathy. One was mimicking L5 radiculopathy due to thromboembolic occlusion, and the other is due to traumatic insult. |
