A Case of Leprosy with Subacute Progressive Sensorimotor Polyneuropathy |

Abstract |
Leprosy is an infectious disease that commonly involves skin and nerves. Peripheral neuropathy in leprosy is usually in the form of mononeuropathy multiplex and subacute progressive sensorimotor polyneuropathy is quite a rare presentation. Furthermore, abnormal level of sex hormones in leprosy is not yet reported in Korea. We present a case of newly diagnosed borderline leprosy with concomitant subacute progressive sensorimotor polyneuropathy and abnormality in sex hormone level. |
