A Case of Leprosy with Subacute Progressive Sensorimotor Polyneuropathy
Abstract
Leprosy is an infectious disease that commonly involves skin and nerves. Peripheral neuropathy in leprosy is usually in the form of mononeuropathy multiplex and subacute progressive sensorimotor polyneuropathy is quite a rare presentation. Furthermore, abnormal level of sex hormones in leprosy is not yet reported in Korea. We present a case of newly diagnosed borderline leprosy with concomitant subacute progressive sensorimotor polyneuropathy and abnormality in sex hormone level.
